Bad Squiddo female Dwarves

These are lovely figures that I bought recently as an addition to my collection of D&D characters;

As it says in the title, these are 28mm Bad Squiddo minis. From left to right there is a Bard, a Monk, a Wizard, a Rogue and a Ranger. Their bases are plastic ones from Renedra.

The Bard has a bit of a Rock Star look, so I've given her a classic sunburst lute. You'll note a small beastie on the Ranger's shoulder. It is a guinea pig helping out with passing crossbow bolts from another guinea pig at the back to the Ranger for loading and firing. A typical Annie Norman piece of fun.

Anyway, these are really nice figures and, as usual a joy to paint because they are such clean and crisp castings.

The floor is from the ready-painted Warbases scenics collection, the ruins are 3D prints and the backdrop is Jon Hodgson from Handiwork Games.

VSF heavy steam tank

 I've had this model for a couple of years but finally decided to paint it. It is by Ironclad Miniatures.

I've placed the vehicle in a desert landscape under low-light conditions (by under-exposing my shot). I'm putting this in the context of an alternative Earth timeline where a portal between Earth and Mars opened up in the last decades of the 19th century. Obviously, the Great Powers all scrambled to explore this new world (which amazingly had a breathable atmosphere and a relatively clement climate).

Inevitably, the threat of conflict between the Powers and some of the local inhabitants developed into open hostility and armoured vehicles soon became essential to protect exploring teams.

The backdrop is from the latest Jon Hodgson Sci Fi backdrops book.

I really like this model. I now need to work out how to use it.
