The annual LBWS Tabletop Sale is rapidly approaching.

Yes, once again, it is almost time for the Lincombe Barn Wargames Society's Tabletop Sale.

The format is the same as in previous years, i.e. it is essentially an indoor car boot sale for wargamers.

Please note that all tables for the event have now been sold and therefore it is a bumper year for sellers and buyers alike. Demand has been so high from sellers for tables that I have had to open up an extra small room to fit everyone in!

I'm sure that this means more bargains and things you never knew you wanted until you saw them this year.

So, if you are in and around Bristol, come down and spend your cash.

If you want to stick around afterwards, there will be space for gaming too.

 

The 2025 Lincombe Barn Wargames Society (a.k.a Bristol Wargames Society) Tabletop sale

 Attention all wargamers in the Bristol area, or even further afield!

The annual LBWS Tabletop Sale is almost upon us.

The TTS will be on Sunday May 18th at Lincombe Barn, the usual venue, address below. Doors are open to the public from 9:30 for Early Birds (entry £5) and 10:00 (£3 adults, £1.50 juniors, under 12s free). The TTS will end at around 12:30.

The address is Lincombe Barn, Overndale Road, Downend, Bristol BS16 2RW.

There is a certain amount of car parking available and public transport runs to the venue, see THIS LINK.

Hot and cold refreshments and snacks will be available.

The sale is already sold out for private traders but that means that there will be lots of goodies on sale to the public. There is always a wide variety of things on sale, from wargames figures, vehicles, books etc to boardgames and sets of rules.

So, if you are looking for that special something, be it a few extra barbarians, Romans, medieval knights, WW2 tanks, fantasy figures or whatever, or maybe even a complete army come along as see what the sellers have on offer.

The TTS will be on Sunday 12th May at the usual location, the Downend Folk House. The address is;

Doors open for customers at 10:00. Entry is £3 for adults, £1.50 for under 18s and free for under 13s.

Those of you with money to burn and a desire to grab all the best stuff, you can buy an early bird ticket for £5 which lets you in at 09:30.

We have free parking and hot and cold refreshments will be available.

This year, we have sold out the entire Barn and have the biggest sale since before Covid and the lockdowns, so there will be plenty to browse and buy.

                            Please note - there is no Bring and Buy table.

The LBWS TTS is back!

 

Yes, the famous LBWS TTS is back to its proper date and time at the end of May.

We have sold all the available tables, so there is going to be plenty of stuff to buy, hopefully with bargains galore to suit whatever gap in your collection you need to fill.

So, put the date in your diaries and bring plenty of cash. You never know what treasures you might discover.

Hot drinks and snacks will be on sale too, so no need to go hungry!

The club meets on Sunday afternoons too, so if you feel like a game, why not stick around? New members are always welcome.

Covid-19 and the 2020 Lincombe Barn Tabletop Sale

As some people already know, the LBWS has an annual tabletop sale in May. As the sale organiser, I have already been preparing for this year, but as you can all imagine, events have overtaken us.

Therefore, the TTS planned for May 17th this year has been cancelled because of the risks to all our health from the Covid-19 pandemic.

I know that this is hardly an unexpected outcome, as pretty much all public wargaming activity is coming to a halt, but it is nevertheless a sad situation.

I am in the process of sorting out refunds for people who have already booked tables.

As no one knows how long this pandemic is likely to persist, it isn't really possible to think about rescheduling the TTS for a later date.

Anyway, I hope that you are all keeping well and avoiding infection by taking sensible precautions.

LBWS Tabletop Sale 2019

Yesterday was the Lincombe Barn Wargames Society's annual Tabletop Sale, basically an indoor car-boot sale for gamers.

The show was a sell-out in terms of available tables and there were plenty of regular sellers at the show, plus some new faces who I hope enjoyed themselves and made a profit. From the feedback I received there were a lot of happy people, so I hope that the same thing applied to those I didn't get a chance to speak to. There seemed to be more visitors this year compared with 2018, which is good news too.

Anyway, here are a few pictures;

We will be running another TTS next May, date to be agreed early in 2020, so, if people are interested in attending as either a seller or as a bargain hunter, I'll be publicising the sale as soon as I have details.

Before that, the club will be running a Bring and Buy table at the Thornbury IPMS Show in August, as well as running a participation game, which will probably be What A Tanker! set in the Western Desert between the Afrika Korps and the 8th Army.

Finally, on Sunday 24th November the club will be hosting our ever-popular Reveille II show, with many traders as well as demonstration and participation games. 

Lincombe Barn Wargames Society Table Top Sale 2018

Every year, in May, the club runs a table-top sale. This is a car boot sale kind of event, with lots of different sellers and the chance to pick up bargains.

The sale will be at Lincombe Barn, Overndale Road, Downend, Bristol BS16 2RW on Sunday 20th May 2018.

The format will be similar to mainstream table top or car boot sale - we will supply the tables - you sell your own goods at prices set by yourself.

Charges are £10 per 6ft x 2ft table (approximate size). A maximum of 2 tables can be booked.

We anticipate having around 40 tables. They are offered on a first come, first served basis

This charge covers the table and entry for two people per table. If you wish to share a table between 3 people, then please enclose a further £4.00. (A maximum of 3 per table please). 

Please note that only people with a sellers pass will be allowed in before the public opening time. The Barn will be open from 8:45am for sellers to set up their tables.

Although not planned this as a trade sale, wargames traders will be most welcome, especially if you wish to offer old or discontinued stock at cheap prices!
